Patchwork cutters - Quilting Embosser

This beautiful Quilting embosser from Marion Frost at Patchwork cutters gives a pretty finish to your sugarpaste cakes - it impresses the paste to look like a quilted effect.

You can emboss directly onto the cake surface , repeating the impression as many times as required or for a better result roll out the paste and emboss before carefully lifting the paste into position on the cake taking care not to smooth out the impression.

This embosser can also be used on pastillage or Mexican paste. The sections can be coloured using dusting colours and lustre colours for a pretty effect.

Use around a cake side or on a small piece of paste to make a quilted blanket for a modelled baby - beautiful for Christening cakes.

The Quilting embosser measures approximately 12.5cm x 8.5cm.

The recommended paste to use is Mexican paste which you can make yourself or can buy either as a ready to mix powder or as ready to use paste.
